The Untitled

I woke up with a start.
I deliberately didn't move for what I felt like eternity.
Trying to fake that just-woken-up feeling.
I closed my eyes tightly, then relaxed them, repeating the action, squeezing out
all traces of daylight from my irises, but there was no getting back to sleep.
Instead, my mum asked me to do something.

When will this deja vu ever end?
I just knew it, whenever I skipped school, I'd have to face some kind of a
punishment - send my youngest sister to school.

Freshly squeezed thoughts dripped down from my brain, pleading for an audience.
I put any question reimpending the future to the very back of my mind.
Maybe I'll wrap them up, I thought, while slowing down my breathing.
Wrap them up and put a note on them saying, please do not open - only after O Level.

I nonchalantly walk out and did what I was supposed to.
Banked in $10 into my POSB account.
Transfer money to Mr. DVD from eBay.
Done, all I have to do now is wait.
The thought of me being overwhelmed by euphoria watching 'Stick It' and
'Love And Suicide' died away when I'm overcome by a sick and dizzy sensation.

I can't watch movies peacefully because at the back of my depressing inadequacy brain, I'd imagined miniature versions of me doing lots of paperworks in a huge office, dealing with fun, schoolwork, love life, art (due!), O levels, soccer,
and kazillion more suddenly turned chaos just because of a mentally deranged question that popped right into your head.

Papers started flying here and there, computers breakdown, fire broke out.
A deja vu to you perhaps?
No, it's in one of the episodes of Spongebob Squarepants?
HEHE!

ready for love at 3:13 PM.
